🍻 Pub Stop Code of Conduct for Campervans & Motorhome Owners

As the Pub Stops community continues to grow, we want to make sure we’re creating something that works for everyone – motorhome owners, pub owners, and local communities alike.
We’re putting together a Code of Conduct for Overnight Stops at participating pubs.

The idea is simple: create a shared understanding that helps protect access, encourages responsible use, and shows appreciation to the pubs that welcome us.
Here’s a draft of what we’re proposing — and we’d love your feedback.

✅ RESPECT THE PUB

Support the business: Whether it’s a drink, a meal, or breakfast the next day – spend something to say thanks.
Always ask: Don’t assume – check with staff before parking overnight.
Don’t outstay your welcome: Clearly communicate with the pub your plans and make sure they are ok with it.
Identify if you at a campsite or pub carpark: Some pubs now provide a full suite of services and parking similar to a campsite. Remember if you are in a pub car park, that space is limited, you are allowed to park there. Putting out chairs etc may not be allowed.

🧼 LEAVE NO TRACE

Take everything with you: That includes rubbish, grey water, and toilet waste.
If facilities are provided use them responsibily: Just because a place has faciliities you can’t dump a weeks worth of rubbish with them.
Park with care: Don’t block access or take up too much space.
Mind your pets: Keep dogs under control and clean up after them.

📢 BE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR

Keep it quiet: Especially after closing time.
No generators or loud music at night: Be considerate of others staying nearby.
Tidy up: Even if the mess isn’t yours, a little effort keeps us all welcome.

📸 PROMOTE THE PUB

Post a review: A kind word online helps the pub and other travelers.
Share the love: Tag your favourite stops and spread the word!
